May 2017

We bid a sad but fond farewell to Ms Lowden who is leaving us for a change of career.


She will be greatly missed, but we wish her all the best in her new job!


Our pupils were inspired by their basketball coaching - just look at the playtime activities the next day!



April 2017


Our Year 4 pupils thoroughly enjoyed their residential trip in Cardiff.




Another successful Egg Drop event took place on Thursday 6th April. 

Lots of inventive creations with many surviving the drop!

Well done all!


March 2017


Everyone donned their red noses and sang the song to commemorate Red Nose Day.

We raised 120 in Red Nose sales!




Thomas Hardy and Mary Anning pupils travelled to Weymouth to watch the ballet,

'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'



William Barnes took part in the Dance Festival at Freshwater Holiday Park.



We celebrated World Book Day by dressing up as our favourite book characters

Well done to our Year 3/4 team for winning the West Dorset Schools Collaboration inaugural 5-a-side tournament!

All our pupils took part in skipping workshops




The Life Education mobile classroom paid us a visit and all pupils learnt some valuable health lessons.



A group of our pupils travelled to the Genting Arena in Birmingham to take part in the

annual Young Voices event.

Our Key Stage 2 pupils have been learning the art of Fencing this term




The pupils of Mary Anning & Thomas Hardy classes enjoyed a performance of 'The Fisherman's Daughter' and participated in workshops.


Our pupils are given plenty of opportunity to participate in extended activities.  This month we have many after school activities on offer including Dodgeball club, Fencing club, Church club & Music club.


October 2016


William Barnes enjoyed a Roman Day at school with interactive workshops.


The whole school participated in another fruitful Harvest Service.


The pupils of Jane Austen travelled to Radstock Museum and spent a day in the Victorian Era.


September 2016


A warm welcome to all our returning students and to all our new additions,

including a full quota of 15 new reception pupils!
