Know IT All

Childnet International - Know It All

Welcome to the Know IT All for Parents area where you can access the entire content from the Know IT All for Parents CD-ROM.

Because the majority of the content includes video introductions and interactive activities, it may take time to download (depending on the speed of your connection). However once you have downloaded the Home Page you can access individual sections separately. There is also a Text only version of the entire content.

Most of the content on this CD-ROM is for parents and carers, but there is also a special section for children and young people, which you can show your kids. There is also a separate section for teachers so they can use this resource in the classroom and with parents.

If you have only recently started using the internet and need help with the basics, don’t worry – there is a special section for you called New to Computers. Also, if you haven’t got the time to look at all the material on this CD-ROM, there is a Quick Overview which gives you a summary of the content.

Think-U-Know

Come in to find the latest information on the sites you like to visit, mobiles and new technology. Find out what’s good, what’s not and what you can do about it. If you look after young people there’s an area for you too – with resources you can use in the classroom, at home or just to get with it. Most importantly, there’s also a place which anyone can use to report if they feel uncomfortable or worried about someone they are chatting to online. All the information here is brought to you by the team at the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre.

Think-U-Know - Hectors World

Hector's World has been developed by the CEOP centre.  It comprises five state of the art, cartoon-like episodes that take children on a journey with Hector and his friends as they explore issues such as personal information, trustworthiness, how to make positive choices online and how to turn to and be open with a trusted adult when they use the internet.

All the information here is brought to you by the team at the Child Exploitation and Online Protection (CEOP) Centre.
